Note

Recording

A studio captures more than notes: it holds distance, air, and the performer’s state of mind.

Visual noteA take you can believe
  1. 01 Prepare

Tune the instrument and the room.

  2. 02 Play

Keep your attention on the whole phrase.

  3. 03 Choose

Look for conviction rather than sterility.

Preparation removes accidental obstacles; performance creates the moment; selection preserves it.

The microphone hears the room

Recording does not begin with a plug-in. The player’s position, the distance from the walls, and the silence between sounds are already part of the tone.

Do not stop for every mistake

A complete take has direction. A small imperfection inside a convincing phrase can be worth more than a perfect fragment with no movement.

Choose the next day

After a session, your ears adapt to the details. A little distance helps you hear the music again instead of the story of how it was recorded.
